THE VIKAO PAGE
mayeticVillage presents a new type of page, the Vikao page. The Vikao page will make your document distribution easier by allowing the display of a multitude of different document formats within the mayeticVillage communities. Documents are available for consultation without needing the original application, all while allowing the authors to have the original documents at their disposal so that they can make any necessary modifications.
This new functionality will considerably improve the speed of document consultation as well as the management of attached documents, and therefore favors collaborative work even more.
The Vikao page integrated into mayeticVillage will allow you:
* to integrate any document from any business application (for example you can use AutoCAD plans, WinProject or PMW schedules, Ilustrator or PhotoShop images, etc...).
* to visualize the document in one central and unique format. The original application is not required, just a free VIKAO plug-in. For example a published Autocad or WinProject document could be consulted without needing to have Autocad or WinProject on the desktop.
* to incorporate several documents of different formats in only one Vikao page as if they formed one unique document.
* to combine original documents in a VIKAO page, while always making it possible for the authors of these documents to make modifications.
* to update the contents of the VIKAO page in real time for anyone in the process of consulting the same VIKAO page, without needing to recharge or refresh the page.
The VIKAO page, completely integrated into mayeticVillage, is available to all users, through a simple initial installation of a VIKAO client on a desktop (Windows version only, 9 MB). This installation is simply done at the first creation or consultation of a VIKAO page, by following the instructions provided on the screen (*).
The Vikao page, although easy to use, conceals a number of advanced functionalities. Do not hesitate to consult the Vikao training support available free of charge in our Training community to fully understand this new type of page as quickly as possible .
